= E-mail from GJ Hagenaars June 8 2012= 4. Drop the extremist views. The term "anarchy" means something to the public. It is negative. You can argue all you like that "the public" is wrong, because X, Y and Z, but that doesn't change anything. The voting public does not accept it. Talk about "privatize the roads" and you lose support. Talk about "bring down the bank" and you lose support. Stop talking about these things. Seriously. People don't want it. Don't refer to it. Deny it. Let the next leader of the OLP (two generations out) talk about those things after the public can accept it. People accept gradual change. That's how we lose our liberties! We don't lose them all at once, we lose them bit by bit. We need to stop this process, then reverse this process, and take a LONG TERM VIEW. Don't talk about privatizing hospitals. At all. Talk about increasing competition, and how that would benefit everybody (especially poor people). Don't talk about stopping funding for education. At all. Talk about a voucher system, so that parents can select the schools that their kids can go to. Explain why school boards don't like that (and how much money school boards make decisions about). Show how vouchers have ALREADY WORKED in other countries. Be concrete. Show how this benefits everybody (especially poor people). Don't talk about privatizing the roads. At all. Deny it. If someone asks about it, just say "no we won't privatize the roads". Move on to the next question where you can give an answer that doesn't scare people.
