I am sending this to both parties as I believe this is an opportunity that shouldn't be missed.

The address below is about a weekend retreat with the cast of Sun News in the Muskokas. Those attending will be able to brush elbows, shoulders whatever the terms one wishes to use and get exposure for the organization that will be there.

If you look at the cost, it is a little over 1,000 for the weekend. From what I was able to gather, all is included rooms, meals and entertainment. This might be seen as a high cost but if you consider the exposure that you get, it might be well worth it.

If both parties attend, it would definitely NOT be missed by the hosts of the various shows on Sun News.

Canadian Language Fairness is sending Beth Trudeau in order to continue to promote their contacts with people like Michael Coren, Charles Adler, all people that have given interviews to the CLF and their spokespersons.

This event will be happening at the end of February.

Don't wait to long to decide. I am hoping to talk a bit about it at the OLP meeting on Sunday.

FYI: Attending is already under discussion with the federal party.
I do not personally feel it is worth the high cost, SunTV does not much like us and there is no-one on the list of speakers likely to support us and some actively hate us, but I have said I will support it if Katrina decides to attend and she was thinking of coming out for the by-election anyway.

Good on Katrina for having it in her radar.

If you think that the Sun TV does not see us in a favorable eye, maybe we definitely DO need to attend. If both parties attend, we will get their attention. Plus, what a great opportunity to promote Christopher in the ear of Ezra and the others. I am sure that having a libertarian running in the heart of NDP land would be something they might like to needle the mainstream parties with.

I do not get SunTV but I have been told by some friends that I should get it because even though these friends are not members of the party, they feel that SunTV are very libertarian in many of their stance. The reason why I don't get it is because being in the country, I would need to get satellite and I don't bother with that. I rarely watch tv and I am not going to spend 30 to 40 dollars a month just for one channel.

Back to the issue.

You will already have an ally there in Beth Trudeau who has been interviewed by Charles Adler and is now talking to I think her name is Kristina. She wants to have Beth on her show about the Sign Bylaw case that will be heard in TO February 1st at Osgoode Hall.

Beth is a member of the party, provincial for sure.

We will have to start thinking about shmoozzing with these guys otherwise, we will not be building any goodwill with them if we stay in our corner and not get involved with interacting with them. Going to social events where the media is opening its doors to people like us is a golden opportunity, even if we feel they will eat us alive.

They won't.
