Niagara Falls Pub night
Hello Everyone,[edit]
Again, I apologize for the technical difficulties last week. I am bringing my laptop into work tomorrow and our IT assistant should be able to make sure my Google Plus Account works perfectly.
In terms of discussion, I really think that Glenn Langton would be a very good addition to the Executive since Greg is no longer around. I have known Glenn for almost a year and he is a very committed Libertarian. He has also taken on the role as Hamilton Area Pub Night Organizer. I regularly attend Hamilton Pub Nights and other than December 2011 due to the holidays, the turnout is almost always at least 10 people. Also, we did receive a lot of votes in the Hamilton area last October.
I am not doing well with the Niagara Falls night, but as Allen and few others suggested, I am going to keep sending out e-mails, Facebook invitations and talking about our movement. We do have a very committed member in Niagara Falls though. His name is Ralph and he wanted me to share some ideas with you that we discussed at the 2/17/12 Niagara Falls Pub Night.
Ralph has suggested that we approach Global and see if we can get some exposure on their political show, Focus Ontario. http://www.globaltoronto.com/focusontario/index.html
His biggest concern like mine is bringing awareness to Ontarians about Libertarianism. We also talked about one or both of us running for City or Regional Council in Niagara Falls and Regional Niagara respectively.
On a personal note, my wife accompanied me to the Hamilton Pub Night on 2/18/12. Unfortunately she is not a Canadian citizen, so she cannot vote. However, it is nice to have the support. I am going to try to get her to come out to Niagara Falls meetings just to have more people. Most of her friends are Japanese, but are married to Canadians. (I will try anything to get more interest in Niagara)
Talk to you guys on 2/27/12.
Adam
