Email Account Policy[edit]

I would suggest that Members only be goiven such an ID on request, or if the EC agrees a member of the EC should have one.

As Recording Secretary, and assuming I don't take on any other responsibilities, why would I need an @libertarain.on.ca email ID? All of my emails are to my personal email ID, jim@mcintosh.on.ca. All members of the EC know it. So I would rarely, if ever, use a jim.mcintosh@libertarain.on.ca email. You can probably seee all of the old such email IDs which (former) members never uised.

Jim, I can't grant access to any special company mailboxes to your jim@mcintosh.on.ca address because I don't control your domain and it is on a server I don't control. This stuff is not implemented yet but in the near future, the only way to access cfo@, info@, donations@ will be through public mailboxes on the parties email server. And there will be all sorts of emails in public shared email folders that you'll probably want to access.

Also, forwarding to non-party domains doesn't really work anymore with the new anti-spam technologies.

I wasn't asking for "access to any special company mail boxes". All I am asking is that I won't have to check for mail in one called jim.mcintosh@libertarain.on.ca or Recording.Secretary@libertarain.on.ca.

BTW - My jim@mcintosh.on.ca was forwarded to my Sympaitco.ca email up until a few weeks ago.

I have deleted your party email account. I will not set up a forwarder to your account because it will hurt the parties mail server reputation score.
