Talk:Vaughan By-election 2012-09-06
An e-mail from Jim on Aug 8th 2012:[edit]
- Who will be Paolo’s Campaign Manager? Paolo, would your brother-in-law be willing to take on this responsibility? I don’t think he is a member, but I don’t think anyone would object if we gave him access to a subset of the Wiki. Jeff?
I've started to build a Wiki FAQ. Paolo's brother-in-law would count as "Exec-Sponsored Non-member"...no problem to give him access. I just him to create his own name/login.--Jeffrey McLarty 16:10, 9 August 2012 (EDT)
- The Campaign Managers should recruit and manage volunteers to knock on doors, distribute pamphlets and put up signs. I can send the Campaign Managers listings of people in the riding and adjacent ridings from our mailing list. We could also ask for volunteers on Facebook.
- Who will design the pamphlets? I have the Outside already prepared as for the October 2011 election, and could draft the inside using the pages form the Caucus meeting. It would be helpful if we could get a media designer to pretty it up. Should we go for full colour? Illustrations?
- How many will each candidate need? (This may be a function of how many volunteers we can recruit.) We could pay to have them distributed by a service, as we did in Toronto-Danforth.
- Signs – I suggest we as member Matt Radford to design and produce them. Paolo, Allan, how many do you think you can place?
- We approved $500 for a by-election. If we can determine the above costs we will likely need to increase the budget.
