Would like to see a breakdown of brochure and sign expenses.  We should also have an estimate based on type of candidate (Active, Paper and in between).  --Jim McIntosh 20:36, 27 November 2012 (EST)

To me it would be appropriate to have previous campaign budgets and actual reports presented in a consistent format. How much was allocated to previous Leader Tours? or Candidate Signup tours? Brochures? Signs? Audit? and end of election campaign party budget? --Neal 15:04, 30 April 2013 (EDT)
Neal - I can locate the expenses for the 2011 and 2007 general elections and create a page for each.  However we have never paid for a Leader Tour or for collecting signatures.  It's been a long time since the Party held a "victory party" at the end of the campaign.  The Signup Tour is to send someone (or two) through Northern Ontario to collect signatures for (paper) candidates, assuming we don't have a local member willing to collect signatures and/or run.  --Jim McIntosh 15:32, 19 August 2013 (EDT)
Pamphlets
In the past, many of our candidates have simply dropped a panphlet at homes and apartments without speaking to the resident.  Since this is the equivalent of junk mail, I expect 90% of them to be dropped in the waste bin or recycling bin without being read.  I would not like to see an 8 page (2 sheets) full colour, glossy booklet (i.e. our Platform) used for this purpose when I expect we could produce a 1 page full colour, glossy brochure for half the price, or a 2-colour pamphlet for even less. --Jim McIntosh 15:32, 19 August 2013 (EDT)

In general, the Platform should only be given to someone who expresses an interest. If the candidate (or volunteer) is going to knock on the door and speak to a voter, then it might be apporpriate to hand them a Platform, since they are more likely to read it.   --Jim McIntosh 15:32, 19 August 2013 (EDT)

Support - marketing - probably should be weighted towards remote areas. E.g. Toronto probably doesn't need as much.--Jim McIntosh 20:36, 27 November 2012 (EST)
