This message is for the executive of the Ontario Libertarian Party.

A debate on the Facebook page, during the approximate time of Feb15-18, resulted in accusations that some OLP candidates and members are anti-semetic and supporters of genocide.

As you all are likely aware, I'm an active shit-disturber on this page. I appreciate the debates, I truly enjoy the exchanges, and that they get heated on occasion is part and parcel.

I do however see a difference between supporting debate and supporting libelous behaviour that is against the criminal code. This can be especially damaging to the candidates that run for public office. It's one matter to accuse a person of being a jerk in a digressed debate, and an altogether separate matter to allow party candidates to be publicly, and wrongly, be accused of anti-semitry and bigotry.

This is damaging to both individual reputations and the party's reputation as well. It is unwise to dismiss the importance of public perception.
