Elections[edit]

At the November 2011 Convention Greg Pattinson was elected Chair. In January 2012 he resigned in order to accept a job in BC, leaving the position of Chair vacant. As per the Party's Constitution, the Executive appointed Jean-Serge Brisson as Chair. That left his position as Vice-Chair vacant. The Executive appointed Member at Large Christin Milloy as Vice-Chair, and GJ Hagenaars to replace Christin as Member at Large. (GJ had run for the position at the Convention.)

According to the Constitution, "At each General Meeting any Executive Committee positions filled by the Executive Committee under Article 6 Section 7 shall become vacant, and elections shall be held to fill these and other vacancies to the Executive Committee..." Accordingly it was necessary to hold elections for Chair and Vice-Chair. Members at Large elections are held every year. Also the three-year terms of the two senior members of the Ethics Committee expire each year.

Jim McIntosh chaired this portion of the meeting. Jeffrey McLarty took the minutes for 2012 AGM Executive Elections The results below are copied from this file. John Shaw and Nunzio Venuto agreed to count the ballots.
