Moved by Jim, seconded by _________, that the Party allocate $550.00 to print 500 copies of the Platform as shown on our web site at http://ontariolibertarian.ca/sites/ontariolibertarian.ca.d6/files/Platform%202010.pdf

I normally send a copy of the Party's 4-page Platform to inquiries as part of the information package. In August 2008 I had 500 copies printed at a cost of $525.45.

I have run out of the copies printed on glossy paper, and I've been printing them on my PC printer as required, and stapling the pages; not exactly a quality product. These could be used at OPH booths as handouts to people showing a strong interest.

Quiz Cards

MOVED by Jim, seconded by __________, that the party allocate $150 to print additional copies of the World's Smallest Political Quiz.

I've had the large and small versions of the World's Smallest Political Quiz printed several times.

  • 1200 of each in September 2009 for $99.75
  • 600 of each in September 2010 for $73.45
  • 900 of each In July 2011 for $101.70

I like to include 2-3 of each with both the Inquiry Packages and the New Member letters, in hopes that the recipient will get their friends to answer the quiz. We also hand them out to individuals who take the quiz at our OPH booths.

There have been some concerns about the questions. If anyone wishes to offer alternatives, please do. Here are the 10 questions we currently use.

Are you a self-governor on PERSONAL issues?

  • Government should not censor speech, press, media or Internet.
  • Military service should be voluntary. There should be no draft.
  • There should be no laws regarding sex between consenting adults.
  • Repeal laws prohibiting adult possession and use of drugs.
  • Private clubs & organiz’ns should be free to admit or refuse any member

Are you a self-governor ECONOMIC issues?

  • End “corporate welfare.” No government handouts to business
  • End government barriers to international free trade.
  • Let people control their own retirement: privatize Canada Pension.
  • Replace government welfare with private charity.
  • Cut taxes and government spending by 50% or more.
