Online Media and Public Speaking Training

The Party has arranged with TJ Walker and Media Training World Wide to provide the online course Political Candidate Media and Public Speaking Training for our members.

Enrolling

Her is the procedure for a Member to follow.

  1. Contact Jim McIntosh to get the "Coupon" for the course. (Please do not share this coupon with others.)
  2. Click on this link.
  3. Watch the Intro Video if you wish.
  4. Click on the green "Buy" button.
  5. Click on the blue "Sign up with LinkedIn" button or fill in the requested fields and "Create Account."
  6. Click on the "Have a coupon?" link.
  7. In the Coupon Code, enter the Coupon as provided and Click on "Enroll".
  8. Click on "Start Learning" and the first lesson will start.

Taking the lessons

  1. At the bottom of the page is a "SPEED" button. You can choose to watch/listen at 1.5 or 2 times normal speed if you wish.
  2. At the end of each video, do the 'homework' or exercise as recommended by TJ if you want to get the most out of the course and be an effective candidate. As a member of a minor party, you will be considered effective if you get more than 2% of the votes. You want to learn how to get at least a few of those at the event to vote for you instead of one of the major parties.
  3. You can continue with additional lessons until you need a break.
  4. If you close your browser or go to another web site, you can simply return to the same web site and it will "Resume" where you left off.
  5. The left side of the screen is a 'navigation' aid that allows you to repeat an earlier lesson or skip to a lesson further down.
  6. The application will keep track of which videos you have watched. If you are interrupted and stop a video part way through and close the window/page, the lesson will begin from the start of that video the next time you "resume" the course.
